I like the stability of the xeloxian ship but moving around on it is a pain.

I'm surprised the canosian ship isn't getting more love.  It is easy to move around on and has those excellent corner gun placements.  However, we tend to forget the +1 shields bonus more often than not for some reason.

Nobody mentioned the Tentac ship's resistance to damage especially at the larger end.  High probability canon results (6, 7 & eight) will blow through after hitting two or maybe three modules.

Of course, get hit on one of the sides and it is ouch time Smiley

[edit: put the '8' back in -- smilies getting in the way]

My last party used a Canosian hull - and it was good for mobility,

However, it really sucks when it takes hits - a couple of lucky missile hits to the rear (and missiles always seem to hit the rear in my experience) can make a really big mess (on one occasion my players had all two engines slagged (with the resident canosian engineer rendered unconscious - and a slooooow sillicoid scientist at the other end of the ship!), one damaged (that is, all three down), as well as life support and the hyperdrive damaged - all from two missile hits,

Heya,

Actually, our group agree that the Human ship is the most powerfull among the races. Little movement problem with some layout changes and the manuever bonus is very non situational.

We are even trying to make the other races more attractive to play.
