What's this game about??

I've searched for news about this game and haven't found any, so can you tell us a bit about it?

The game is about trying to have the best "empire" of all the players. Each turn you move armies, have them led by historical generals, and try to accomplish that leaders "goal".  If you have the best empire you win!

World Conqs is a map based zone control game with simple mechanics (roll as many dice as the number of areas you have adjacent to the target region count only the highest die).  Each loss costs you power points.  Victory gives you control of the region.

The twist comes in the fact that you will play historical leader cards that modify these rules.  You can play them for a special one time effect (Victoria allows you to make a sea assault more cheaply) or as your ruler (Victoria allows you to make ALL sea assaults more cheaply) or as a general giving you a reroll in their home territory (Victoria is in Great Britain).

Each Ruler has a goal (controlling a given continent or doubling the size of your empire etc.) that if reached gives you a bonus of power.

You win immediately if you conquer the entire world.  If nobody has done so by the fourth turn, the player who's conquered the most area wins.

It should be coming out this year but my art department wants to get it just right.
