Hunting Party and the Weather Deck made their Debut at GenCon

Monday, August 15th, 2011 in Hunting Party, Lifeboat, News

As promised, my printer came through with a delivery of product to GenCon. Hunting Party and The Lifeboat Weather Deck were well received despite the fact that a booth-buying snafu made us scramble for space in the back of the Baksha Games half of a booth. It was great to be able to sell stuff, though.

Lifeboat is in!

Monday, September 27th, 2010 in Lifeboat, News

3rd edition Lifeboat has arrived from the far east!  It is just as cool as ever and now has wooden birds and a less annoying box!

Those who pre-ordered were issued a little Liquid Courage to reward their patience except for one unlucky soul.  I sealed the box before putting in the bonus goody.  Sorry about that!

The rest of you can go to the webstore and order up some Lifeboat 3rd Edition.

And no, for the millionth time, hats are NOT included.

Lifeboat Nominated for Origins Award

Saturday, July 26th, 2008 in Lifeboat, News

Ahoy there! We didn’t win but we sure enjoyed the process. It was the biggest honor of my professional career just to be nominated and I’m pleased as punch to get the nomination.

Next year, we’ll just have to try harder.

Lifeboat Expansion #1: Cannibalism ready to ship

Thursday, May 29th, 2008 in Lifeboat, News

When Steve Ratter did the art for Lifeboat he wanted to do a “cannibalism” card. At first, I worried that there is no way I can sell a game with cannibalism in it so I left it out until the expansion. Steve’s other card idea “bucket of chum” is also gross and far and away the most popular card in the game so far. Thus, I’m reduced to making an expansion and putting cannibalism in it. Of course that’s only one out of the ten cards. The major purpose of the expansion is to add in another character “Dr. Harter” along with Love, Hate and Navigation cards featuring him. Dr. Harter is a physician so his special ability is to not expend a First Aid kit when he heals somebody. I know most of you are thinking it is hard enough to get 6 players to play this cutthroat game much less 7 players. If you have that many friends, you’d probably want to keep them…

Anyhoo, the new expansion retails for $2.50 not because it isn’t worth more but just because I love my fans so much that I’m willing to sell at such a low, low price.
