Hunting Party is a card game about being a big game hunter in victorian africa.
You score points for getting trophies and for a secret goal.
Each turn there are a number of possible fates one greater than the number of players. Each player chooses their individual action (flee, shoot, or camp) and discards one of the group fate cards. The group fate cards have individual results listed for each player based on their chosen action as well as a global group fate. Your individual fate might be to have an animal attack you and if you shoot it you bag it as a trophy. If you are camping, the animal will maul you and you discard 2 cards. You die if you run out of cards.

My art director wanted to include some revolutionaries but we’ve already got a full deck. (I know it is oxymoronic to talk about a full deck of people that wanted to take over the world).
Anyhow, I’ve begun working on the Revolutionaries deck. I’m not sure how many cards it will have but I know Che Guevara is in there. Revolutionary rulers can only be played in a country owned by somebody else. I’ll have more for this soon.

I’m doing a revolutionaries expansion for World Conquerors and I’ve arbitrarily decided there is room for only one russian communist revolutionary. Which one should it be.
To compound matters, I don’t know how to turn on comments so I’ll have to cross post this somewhere that people can see.

I was invited to attend a panel at Strategicon about publishing games and it turns out, I do know something about the process. If only by virtue of the fact that I’ve made most of the mistakes one can make, I’m something of an expert.
Actually, it was interesting and fun and I got to participate alongside Guests of Honor Ted Alspach and Dan Versson. We talked about the pitfalls of publishing and the new Kickstarter craze. At one point Dan Versson talked about getting a $17,000 shipping bill and I wonder if that is my career total. Steve Jones of Blue Panther and Rick Loomis of Flying Buffalo were also on hand to provide their perspective.
Eric Burgess recorded the session for his podcast. I should put up a link when he tells me about it.

My daughter Arden Siadek just asked if there was anything about her on the website so I had to add this. If you look carefully on the parasol card in Lifeboat you can see the name of the ship is the H.M.S. Arden
